One of the best things about geocaching is the sharing of experiences through stories and images. Below, you will find some picture shared by Northern New York Geocachers members. Please feel free to send your own contributions (including captions if you wish) to me at the email address below.
I took this picture shortly before capsizing on a snowy Memorial Day (2004) while paddling out to "Think Pink".
The "Jones Boys" team found "Tree Tops" after hunting for a while in beautiful woods near Saranac Lake.
A baby hemlock tree growing on a burl in a live birch tree that I spotted while hiking out to "Bear Breath Cache".
Ben and I mugging for the camera at "Stony Wold"...the hat is his...
My lunch spot after taking the wrong trail to get out to "Ward's Rusty Box"...it took me a bit over 4 hours (and climbing up and down countless shoulders of Seward) to get there, and 2 hours of relatively flat walking to get back to my car after finding the cache.
Gail and Ben enjoy a huge find out at "No Weiner Dogs Please!".
A picture of some NNYGeo members at the Holloween Event this year.
This was taken overlooking the Racquette River in Potsdam, after guiding a couple of Newbies to "GS2:Woodpeckers Paradise". (GCNKNG)
This picture was taken out on Rainbow Lake, while my son, Ben, and I found the "Adirondack Traveller", a moving cache that travels around the Adirondack Park.
If you would like to add a couple of pictures (and captions), feel free to send me an E-mail; I'll try to update this page regularly.
